Both roles are 37 hours and 30 minutes, working Monday to Friday. As part of our busy practice, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care by providing efficient and compassionate administrative support and care navigation.

The duties and responsibilities to be undertaken by members of the administration team may include any or all the items in the following list.

Duties may be varied from time to time under the direction of the Operations /Practice Business Manager, dependent on current and evolving Practice workload and staffing levels: Maintaining and monitoring the Practice appointments system on SystmOne. Processing personal and telephone requests for appointments, visits and telephone consultations and ensuring callers are directed to the appropriate healthcare professional.

Taking messages and passing on information Filing/Scanning and retrieving paperwork Processing repeat prescriptions in accordance with Practice guidelines Computer data entry/data allocation and collation; processing and recording information in accordance with Practice procedures Initiating contact with and responding to requests from patients, other team members and associated healthcare agencies and providers Clearing and re-stocking consulting rooms as required Providing clerical assistance as required including word/data processing, filing, photocopying and scanning Monitoring of stationery/clinical room and other supplies Accepting and documenting samples from patients Supporting when patients or clinical staff request a chaperone Assisting with spot cleaning of the premises as and when required Ensuring building security, closing doors, windows and shutters at the end of the day. The successful candidate will have and be able to demonstrate: Excellent customer service skills.

Previous NHS GP Practice experience is desirable but not essential; We are looking for the right person to join our dedicated team Friendly and approachable manner; Experience of working in a team; Good telephone manner; Professionalism; A can do attitude; Adept in using own initiative when working alone; Experience of working in a busy environment; The ability to multitask and prioritise effectively whilst staying calm under pressure; Has a good understanding of confidentiality; Flexibility in working pattern and duties; Ability to cope with and manage change; Computer literate. SystmOne and Accurx familiarity is desirable but training will be provided.
