Role overview

Flexibility needed to cover sickness and holidays is a must. Our surgery hours are between 8.

00-18. 30, Monday to Friday.

Join a team where no two days are ever the same! We are a busy surgery over two sites (South Normanton and Pinxton).

We have over 9,000 patients so the role is fast paced. We are a friendly team with over 20 members of staff who are happy to help!

Please note, the hours for this vacancy are; Monday 3. 00-6.

30 Contributing to the day to day running of reception. Opening premises and checking heating and ventilation.

Restoration of telephone and IT equipment. Registration of new Patients.

Booking Appointments for Patients. Booking Patients as they arrive in Reception.

Monitoring and Directing Patient flow throughout the surgery. Overseeing Waiting Room.

Contributing to keeping the admin and paperwork up-to-date. Ensuring Doctor and Practice Nurse have relevant medical records/hospital letters/diagnostic reports for consultation.

Read coding and Scanning of Patients correspondence, Hospital letters, reports etc. Ensuring medical records are kept up to date. Ensuring Doctors consulting room is kept tidy and stocked with appropriate forms.

Operating computer for repeat prescriptions. Preparation of repeat prescriptions including EPS system and ensuring these are signed and checked by the Doctor.

Operating computers for recording all information as required. Transferring phones to appropriate people and to night service as required.

Attending courses and meetings etc. as required. Maintaining confidentiality at all times.

Any other duties as may be required by Practice Manager or Doctors. Use of email for corresponding with practice teams and other agencies.

Summarising medical records. Distribution of mail.
