Role overview

We are recruiting a Business Support Administrator to cover a period of maternity leave. This role supports the Baywide Mental Health Clinical team based at the Health & Wellbeing Clinic on the Torbay Hospital site.

If you are looking for a dynamic and challenging role, this could be the job for you. You will be supporting a clinical team with all administrative tasks which are required to support patient care and contribute to the smooth running of our service.

We will support you to learn the skills you need to thrive in the role and will offer you the training and development support you need. In return, you will need to be motivated, flexible and eager to learn.

Working as part of Devon Partnership NHS Trust, you will make a difference to peoples lives from the moment you start. You will have experience of working in a team, providing administrative support in a busy office environment.

The role involves communication, so we expect that you have excellent verbal and written skills. These will be tested as you produce reports, maintain filing systems and records as well as taking accurate meeting minutes.

We expect you to have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, with level two standard in Word and Excel as a minimum. Typing and processing of correspondence, assessments, diary management and database management are an integral part of this role.

You will have direct contact with services users, families, carers, professional agencies and organisations. Interacting with patients and the public both from an office and reception environment you will be confident in giving non-clinical information and advice that improves their experience.

Dealing with sensitive information daily, you will understand the importance of data security. You will often work under pressure and without direct supervision, so we are looking for someone confident and capable.

You will prioritise tasks, manage your own workload and provide support for your colleagues where required. You will become an important part of the team, working to ensure that every patient receives high quality care.
