Job description

About us

Caring since 1946, Strode Park Foundation provides vital care and support services, supported living opportunities and day and leisure services for young people and adults with a range of disabilities across Kent. Our values of Care, Inspire and Together underpin everything we do, and we are very proud to employ truly inspirational people who make our care settings a remarkable place to work.

About the Role

Join Strode Park House as an Activities Co-ordinator and bring creativity, connection and enjoyment to the lives of the people we support.

Are you energetic, compassionate and full of ideas? Do you believe every day should offer opportunities for fun, friendship and personal achievement? We are looking for an enthusiastic Activities Co-ordinator to create meaningful experiences that help our service users stay active, fulfilled and happy.

In this rewarding role, you will plan and deliver engaging activities, entertainment and outings tailored to each person's interests, choices and care plan. From one-to-one companionship to lively group sessions and community trips, you will make a genuine difference to people's wellbeing, confidence and independence.

This is a full-time, permanent role, working 37.5 hours per week and we are offering an hourly rate of £12.87.

Job Opportunity

What you'll do

Develop imaginative, person-centred activity programmes with the Therapy & Quality Liaison and Home Management team.
Lead inclusive social events, activities and outings, ensuring everyone can take part and gain maximum benefit.
Build warm, respectful relationships with service users and their relatives.
Support people with personal care, meals, mobility and wellbeing in line with their individual choices and care plans.
Encourage participation, record outcomes and report changes in wellbeing.
Drive Foundation transport to support outings and independence.
Help promote a welcoming, vibrant home through events, including occasional evenings and weekends.

As a Strode Park Foundation colleague you will receive comprehensive support from day one and receive training and development opportunities to develop your skills.

Set within a beautiful 19th-century Victorian manor house surrounded by 14 acres of grounds, Strode Park House offers a relaxed, homely setting for residents on both short- and long-term stays.

Strode Park House is a residential home with nursing care for 55 adults with physical disabilities and complex needs in Herne, Kent. We've been delivering care since 1946, and this residential home is where it all started. For more information, please go to our Strode Park Foundation website.
