Hours or shifts

45 hours per week, Monday to Friday, alternating between 6am to 3.30pm and 8.30am to 6pm.

One in three Saturday mornings, 7am to midday.

About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Service Advisor to join a busy commercial vehicle service department in Leeds. This permanent Service Advisor position would suit someone with experience in the commercial vehicle industry, motor trade or a related sector who is confident delivering excellent customer service and coordinating workshop activities.

As a Service Advisor, you will play an important role in ensuring the workshop operates efficiently, managing service bookings, preparing estimates and keeping customers informed throughout the repair process. This Service Advisor opportunity would also suit someone with a passion for trucks and knowledge of truck or trailer parts who is looking to develop their career within a commercial vehicle dealership.

Key responsibilities

Managing daily service bookings and ensuring efficient workshop scheduling.
Preparing accurate service estimates in a timely and professional manner.
Keeping customers informed about repair costs, progress and authorisations.
Preparing job cards and raising invoices accurately.
Liaising with customers and workshop colleagues to ensure work is completed efficiently.
Maintaining clear and accurate service records and documentation.
Delivering a professional customer experience throughout the servicing and repair process.

Skills and experience required

Essential:

Previous experience as a Service Advisor or in a similar role within the commercial vehicle, motor trade or an associated sector.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A customer focused approach with the ability to build positive relationships.
Good computer literacy and confidence using business systems.
A full UK driving licence.

Desirable:

Knowledge of vehicle repair scheduling.
Experience working with commercial vehicles, trucks or trailers.
Knowledge of truck and trailer parts.
Previous experience within a busy dealership or workshop environment.
