Document Controller

Location: Maidstone, Kent

Salary: £26,000-£30,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus package

Job Type: Permanent

Sector: Mechanical & Electrical

The Opportunity

Damicor is recruiting for a Document Controller to join an established construction business based in Maidstone.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-oriented individual to play a key role in supporting project teams by ensuring all project documentation is accurately managed, maintained and distributed.

Previous experience within the Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) or wider construction sector would be highly advantageous, although candidates with strong document control experience in other industries will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and maintain project documentation, ensuring records are accurate and up to date.
Control the issuing, receipt, revision and distribution of drawings, specifications and technical documents.
Maintain document registers and ensure information is stored correctly within company systems.
Liaise with project managers, engineers, subcontractors and other stakeholders.
Monitor document revisions to ensure teams are working from the latest information.
Support the preparation of project reports, handover documentation and O&M manuals.
Ensure documentation complies with company procedures and project requirements.

About You

Previous experience in a Document Controller or similar administrative role.
Experience within M&E, building services or construction would be advantageous.
Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
Confident using Microsoft Office and document management systems.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a busy project environment.
A proactive approach with the ability to manage competing priorities.
