Job description
Accounts Assistant Location: Nottingham Salary: £28,000 - £31,000 Temporary: 6 months
SF Partners is currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join a busy finance team on a temporary basis. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous finance experience who enjoys a varied role and is confident supporting day-to-day accounting activities.
The role will include:
Processing purchase and sales invoices accurately and efficiently.
Managing supplier accounts, reconciling statements and resolving queries.
Assisting with credit control and chasing outstanding payments.
Allocating and posting customer receipts and supplier payments.
Completing bank reconciliations and investigating discrepancies.
Supporting month-end processes and maintaining accurate financial records.
Assisting with general finance administration and ad hoc duties as required.
About you:
Previous experience in an accounts or finance role.
A good understanding of day-to-day accounting processes.
Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills.
Confident using finance systems and Microsoft Excel.
Able to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines.
A proactive team player with good communication skills.
