Job description
Our client is looking for a Customer Service Assistant for their Markets Service. This is a frontline operational role supporting the day-to-day running of Markets across Huddersfield, Dewsbury and other market locations as required.
The role operates on a flexible rota basis, covering trading days, weekends, public holidays and occasional early starts or later finishes to meet business needs. The Markets operate throughout the year and flexibility is essential.
Duties include:
The role is physically active and involves regular manual handling, outdoor working and travel between locations. The successful candidate must be reliable, flexible, customer-focused and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
A full UK driving licence is essential
Working Pattern
37 hours per week (or equivalent agency cover requirement) 7-day rota. Weekend and Bank Holiday working required Flexibility to work across multiple market sites and events
Job Focus Sheet Summary The post holder will provide operational support across the Markets Service, ensuring markets are safe, clean, welcoming and ready for trade, while supporting traders, customers, events and the ongoing operation of temporary market facilities during the redevelopment of Huddersfield and Dewsbury Markets.
