Job description

We are recruiting on behalf of a reputable, family-run automotive business located in the South Wiltshire region for the position of Vehicle Service Advisor. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Service Advisor seeking a stable, long-term career within a respected independent service centre. The successful Service Advisor will play a crucial role at the front desk, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring efficient communication between customers and the workshop team.

Competitive salary between 30,000 and 35,000 per annum, negotiable based on experience

42.5-hour week, Monday to Friday, with shifts either 8:00am-5:30pm or 8:30am-6:00pm

Duties:

Meet and greet customers at the Service Department front desk
Coordinate with the workshop team to monitor work in progress and communicate updates to customers
Schedule vehicle services, maintenance, and repairs
Source and supply parts required by the workshop team
Upsell additional services and products where appropriate
Maintain a high standard of customer service through effective communication and organisation
Keep accurate records of vehicle service history and customer interactions

Requirements:

Recent or current experience as a Vehicle Service Advisor or in a similar role within the automotive industry
Strong organisational skills and IT literacy
Excellent communication skills to deliver outstanding customer service
Reside within a reasonable commuting distance of South Wiltshire (e.g., Andover, Salisbury, Marlborough, Devizes)
Ability to maintain a professional and proactive approach in a busy environment
