Accounts Assistant Oldbury Office Based Permanent Salary up to 30,000 Full Time Hours

Looking for a varied accounts role where you can genuinely make an impact?

Are you an organised finance professional who enjoys working across both purchase and sales ledger activities? Do you thrive in a busy environment where accuracy, attention to detail and strong communication skills are valued?

Seymour John are supporting a growing business, based in Oldbury, who are looking to strengthen their finance team with the appointment of an experienced Accounts Assistant.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established organisation, taking ownership of day-to-day transactional finance processes while working closely with colleagues across the wider business.

The Opportunity

You will support the day-to-day running of the accounts function, with responsibilities including:

Managing key purchase ledger activities, ensuring supplier accounts are accurate and up to date
Processing customer invoices, receipts and sales ledger transactions
Assisting with account reconciliations and resolving supplier and customer queries
Supporting payment runs and maintaining accurate financial records
Producing regular reports for management and assisting with month-end processes
Providing general finance and administrative support to the wider team as required

Personal Profile

We are looking for candidates to have:

Previous experience in a transactional finance role, with strong exposure to both purchase ledger and sales ledger activities
Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
Good communication skills with the confidence to liaise with colleagues and external contacts
The ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple tasks effectively
Experience using accounting software and Microsoft Excel
A proactive approach and willingness to support the wider finance team when required
