Customer Service Advisor

Location: Bournemouth, Dorset

Salary: £25,000 per annum (increasing after probation)

Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30am 5:00pm (+ Occasional Saturday mornings)

Contract: Temporary to Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

As a Customer Service Advisor, you will report directly to the Customer Service Manager and act as the first point of contact for clients and suppliers. Your day-to-day duties will include:

Handling incoming telephone enquiries, addressing customer queries efficiently, or directing calls to the correct department.
Listening to client requirements, providing clear support and advice, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience.
Managing the customer service inbox, responding to emails promptly, or allocating complex queries to relevant internal teams.
Liaising with suppliers on behalf of clients to resolve queries and ensure smooth communication.
Updating and maintaining accurate client records, including company names and location changes.
Monitoring and checking client deliveries, updating purchase orders accordingly.
Sourcing emergency suppliers when required and verifying their documentation against regulatory standards.
Escalating complex issues to the Customer Service Manager to ensure swift resolution.
Assisting the management team with ad-hoc projects and administrative tasks.

While previous office experience is a bonus, it is not essential. We are looking for individuals who possess:

Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional telephone manner.
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage tasks in a fast-paced environment.
A positive, proactive attitude and a willingness to learn.
The ability to work effectively as part of a close-knit team.
