Operations Assistant

Ringwood - relocating to Westbourne, Bournemouth at the end of October 30,000 - 35,000 DOE

TeamJobs is working with a growing business looking for an organised and proactive Operations Assistant / Administrator to join their busy Head Office team.

This is a varied position where you'll play an important part in keeping day-to-day operations running smoothly, supporting customers, internal teams and field-based engineers.

The role is currently based in Ringwood, with the company relocating to Westbourne, Bournemouth at the end of October, so applicants will need to be comfortable with both locations.

The Role

Working closely with the Operations Manager and wider office team, your responsibilities will include:

Acting as a first point of contact for customer enquiries by telephone and email
Logging, tracking and coordinating reactive and planned maintenance jobs
Supporting the scheduling and planning of regional field engineers
Keeping job records, client notes and operational information accurate and up to date
Processing completed jobs and supporting invoicing administration
Managing relevant compliance and operational documentation
Liaising between customers, office teams and field engineers to provide updates
Supporting wider administrative tasks across the business
Helping resolve day-to-day operational issues and ensuring jobs progress efficiently

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who enjoys working in a busy, fast-paced environment and is confident juggling different priorities.

Ideally, you'll have:

1-2+ years' experience within administration, customer service, operations or logistics
Strong telephone and email communication skills
Excellent organisation and time-management skills
Confidence managing multiple tasks and changing priorities
Good Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel and Outlook
Experience using CRM, scheduling or job-management systems
Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving

Experience within property maintenance, facilities, construction, engineering or another field-service environment would be particularly beneficial, but isn't essential.
