Job description

Personal Assistant to the CEO

Exeter 25 hours per week (5 hours per day, Monday-Friday)

Full FTE 32,501 + (Actual Salary 23,215 per annum based on 25 hours per week)

Some people make things happen without needing to be centre stage.

They're the person who spots the diary clash before it becomes a problem, knows which detail matters, and quietly keeps senior leaders organised, informed and focused.

If that sounds familiar, we'd like to hear from you.

We're looking for an experienced Personal Assistant to support a highly approachable CEO and Senior Leadership Team within a purpose-led organisation that genuinely makes a difference to people's lives. This is a rare opportunity to join a friendly, collaborative team and become a trusted partner to leaders who value great support and the people who provide it.

This isn't a role where you'll be hidden behind a desk. You'll be involved in the day-to-day rhythm of the organisation, helping things run smoothly, building relationships across the business, and ensuring key priorities stay on track.

What you'll be doing

Managing a busy CEO's diary, meetings and appointments
Coordinating travel arrangements, accommodation and itineraries
Preparing agendas, papers and briefings ahead of meetings
Supporting Board, leadership and governance meetings
Taking notes and tracking actions when required
Managing correspondence and day-to-day administration
Building strong relationships with colleagues, partners and stakeholders
Handling confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism

What we're looking for

You'll already have experience in a Personal Assistant, Executive Assistant or senior administrative support role and be comfortable working closely with senior leaders.

We'll be looking for someone who:

Is exceptionally organised and takes pride in getting the details right
Communicates confidently and professionally with people at all levels
Can juggle competing priorities without becoming flustered
Thinks ahead, solves problems and takes initiative
Handles confidential information with absolute discretion
Has strong Microsoft 365 skills, including Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint and Copilot
Experience supporting a CEO, Managing Director, Board or Senior Leadership Team would be highly advantageous.

Why this role stands out

There are plenty of PA roles. Few offer this combination of flexibility, culture and meaningful work.

You'll be joining a business where people enjoy working together, where senior leaders are approachable and appreciative, and where your contribution will be genuinely valued.

You'll have the opportunity to:

Work directly alongside the CEO and Senior Leadership Team
Build trusted relationships across the organisation
Be involved in a broad range of business activities
Join a supportive, down-to-earth and welcoming team
Enjoy a part-time schedule that offers real work-life balance

What's on offer

34 days holiday (including bank holidays) plus your birthday off
Life Insurance and Medical Insurance Lite
Wellness programmes
Volunteering day
Pension scheme
Long service awards and employee discount scheme
On-site parking and Cycle to Work scheme
Learning and development opportunities
Hybrid working, with the potential to apply for remote working after six months' service (subject to role requirements)

If you're looking for a part-time PA role where you can make a genuine contribution, work with people you'll enjoy supporting, and be part of an organisation doing worthwhile work, we'd love to hear from you. Interviews will take place asap, 1st stage via Teams and 2nd stage informal to meet CEO.
