Job description

Looking for an Accounts Assistant role where you're not just another number? Here's your chance to join a small, close-knit IT business where your work actually matters. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for:

Processing purchase and sales invoices
Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable
Reconciling supplier statements and keeping the bank accounts up to date
Handling bank reconciliations for one main account
Managing credit control, including sending out invoices and chasing payments by phone and email (with support from the FC)
Supporting month-end processes and reporting
Assisting with VAT returns and other statutory requirements
Supporting the day-to-day accountancy needs of the business

What you will need:

Previous experience in a similar role (Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant, Accounts Clerk, or similar)
Hands-on experience with Xero (or similar accounting software)
A full UK driver's licence
At least 1 year's experience in finance
A positive, can-do attitude and the ability to get on with people
Ambition to progress and develop your career
