Assistant Credit Controller

Ipswich Full-Time Permanent On-Site

Do you enjoy building relationships, solving problems, and helping businesses maintain healthy cash flow?

Reed Accountancy & Finance are recruiting on behalf of a successful and expanding Ipswich-based employer who are looking to appoint an Assistant Credit Controller to support their finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to develop within Credit Control, Sales Ledger, or Accounts Receivable and who enjoys a varied role combining customer interaction with financial administration.

Key Responsibilities:

Chasing overdue payments via telephone and email
Allocating incoming payments
Maintaining customer accounts
Reconciling customer balances
Producing aged debtor reports
Resolving customer invoice and payment queries
Assisting with credit checks and account set-up
Raising credit notes where required
Supporting month-end reporting and finance activities

What we're looking for:

Previous office experience
Confident and professional telephone manner
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Good Excel and IT skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to prioritise and manage workloads effectively
