Job description

TPF Recruitment is delighted to be representing one of our established clients based in Eastleigh, Hampshire, in their search for a Payroll Administrator. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business and develop your payroll career within a supportive team environment.

Our client provides tailored payroll services to businesses of all sizes across the UK, offering a personalised approach to meet the individual needs of each client.

As a Payroll Administrator, you will support the delivery of accurate and efficient payroll services across a varied client portfolio. Working closely with experienced colleagues, you will assist with processing weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls, responding to client queries and ensuring payroll deadlines are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities

Process weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls for a diverse portfolio of clients.
Collate and input payroll information, ensuring data is accurate and processed within the required deadlines.
Assist with payroll reconciliations and the preparation of payroll reports.
Support the administration of pension auto-enrolment and related submissions.
Respond to client, HMRC and internal payroll queries in a professional and timely manner.
Assist with the calculation of statutory payments, including SSP and statutory family leave.
Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure relevant documentation is kept up to date.
Support the onboarding of new clients and the setup of payroll systems.
Work collaboratively with the wider payroll team to ensure a high standard of service.

Requirements

Previous experience in payroll administration, ideally within an accountancy practice or payroll bureau environment.
A good understanding of payroll processes, including PAYE, National Insurance and workplace pensions.
Familiarity with statutory payments, including SSP and statutory family leave, would be advantageous.
Strong numerical skills and excellent attention to detail.
Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines.
Confident communication skills, with a professional and client-focused approach.
Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel.
A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and develop within a growing team.

Benefits

Salary of £26,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
