Payroll Clerk & Accounts Assistant

Location: Caistor

Full Time

Monday to Friday 9:00am - 4:30pm

Manpower are currently recruiting for a Payroll Clerk & Accounts Assistant on behalf of our client. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business where you'll play a key role in supporting payroll, accounts and administration functions within a close-knit and friendly team.

The Role

As a Payroll Clerk & Accounts Assistant, you'll be responsible for ensuring payroll is processed accurately and on time, whilst also providing support across the wider finance function.

Key Responsibilities

Process weekly and monthly payroll accurately and within deadlines
Maintain and update employee payroll records
Check timesheets, holiday records, sickness absence and payroll data
Respond to payroll-related queries from employees
Process new starters and leavers
Assist with pension administration and payroll submissions
Prepare payroll reports and maintain payroll documentation
Process employee expenses
Process purchase and sales invoices
Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
Assist with general office administration duties
Provide additional support to the finance team as required

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Previous payroll experience (essential)
Experience within an accounts or bookkeeping environment
Strong understanding of payroll processes and confidentiality requirements
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organisational and time management skills
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Office applications
Experience using Sage Payroll and Sage Accounts (desirable)
Ability to work independently and manage competing deadlines
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
A professional, positive and team-focused attitude

Competitive salary of £27,000 - £34,000, dependent on experience
Monday to Friday working hours, 9:00am - 4:30pm
