Trusts & Grants Coordinator

Midlands Wide

Salary:£27845 per annum

Location:B24 8 HZ, LE18 4 TP, NG7 2 SD

About the Role:

As Trusts & Grants Researcher and Coordinator you will manage a pipeline of trust and foundations making applications for support on behalf of FareShare Midlands central mission of food redistribution. You will work with colleagues across FareShare Midlands to better develop the case for support used to secure unrestricted income. You will undertake proactive research to identify pipeline of new funding opportunities as well as evaluating existing pipeline opportunities, making recommendations to follow through. You will play a key role in supporting the team in delivering income, contributing directly to FareShare Midlands' income targets and growth plans.

Key Responsibilities:

Funding Pipeline Development & Prospect Research

Review and current pipeline of fundraising opportunities, prioritising opportunities by value, likelihood and strategic fit.
Undertake regular prospect research using databases (e.g. funds online, the charity commission website, idox etc) as well as other funding portals, trusts, foundations and government programmes.
Assess eligibility criteria aligned with organisational priorities, making recommendations.
Work proactively to identify and develop a pipeline of new opportunities in trusts, grants, foundations and corporate fundraising to secure new income for FareShare Midlands.
Maintain an up to date rolling 12-to-18-month pipeline and calendar.
Assist on project development working with colleagues to build in the needs and preferences of funders to ensure projects can attract support.
Research evidence, statistics and supporting information required for applications.

Reporting and Impact

Coordinating team specific case studies and impact data for bids
Coordinating evaluation and evidence collection for funder reports
Working with the stewardship officer and comms team to identify and develop impact stories and relevant data
Assist the team to develop strong project narratives, objectives, activities, outputs, outcomes and impact measures.

Monitoring & Administration

Working closely with the team, ensure effective recording, monitoring, tracking and reporting of trusts and foundations funders, including document management.
Support the team on accurate record keeping of applications.
Co-ordinate/Monitoring funder requirements and deadlines.
Calendar management.
Income forecasting for trusts & grants.
Support the team with events.

Skills, knowledge and abilities

Research driven and analytical.
Able to work to multiple and simultaneous deadlines.
Able to work independently.
Strong Microsoft Office Skills, including Excel and database management.
Maintaining a strong, well-researched pipeline of trust and grant opportunities.
Able to work with and in a geographically diverse team.
Bring creativity and passion in communicating FSM's central mission to inspire funders to support us.
Willingness to work flexibly including events and occasional weekends.
To subscribe to the ethos, vision and mission of FareShare Midlands.
Full clean driving license and have access to a vehicle so that travel between depots or to stakeholder meetings is possible (all travel costs reimbursed).
This role will suit a recent graduate with a passion for this type of work.

Desirable

Knowledge of trust, grant and foundation fundraising.
