Content Review Specialist

Pay Rate: £13.45/hr + holiday pay

Location: North York, YO60

Job Type: Temporary (2-3 weeks to help with a project), Hybrid (minimum 2 days per week in office)

We are currently hiring a Website Content Editor for our client based north of York.

This role involves reviewing and editing website content to ensure clarity and accuracy, reflecting our brand's values and standards.

Day-to-day of the role:

Review website pages against a defined list of words, phrases, or topics.

Identify and remove or amend relevant references within the page copy.

Make minor adjustments to surrounding wording to ensure sentences and paragraphs remain clear and grammatically correct.

Work systematically through a large number of pages, following agreed guidelines.

Check completed pages for accuracy and consistency.

Flag any pages or examples where the required change is unclear or requires further guidance.

Use judgement to ensure the remaining copy continues to read naturally and make sense.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Strong written English and a good understanding of grammar and sentence structure.

Experience with making small copy edits.

Able to use initiative and make sensible decisions.

Experience of working within guidelines.

Competent Microsoft Office skills.

Previous experience of using a Content Management System (CMS) is desirable.

Comfortable working independently and completing repetitive, high-volume tasks.

Previous experience in content, administration, digital, marketing, or website work would be beneficial but is not essential.

Additional Information:

This is a hybrid role with a minimum of 2 days per week required in the office. Tuesdays and Wednesdays are mandatory office days.

Due to the remote location, having your own transport is necessary.
