Accounts Assistant

Location: Cardiff (Fully Site-Based) Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm Salary: £27,000 per annum

The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join a friendly and supportive team based in Cardiff. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous accounts experience who is looking to further develop their skills and build a long-term career within finance.

Key Responsibilities

Processing purchase ledger invoices accurately and efficiently
Matching, checking, and coding invoices
Assisting with payment runs and supplier statements
Reconciling supplier accounts and resolving queries
Supporting sales ledger and invoicing activities
Maintaining accurate financial records and account information
Assisting with month-end processes and reporting
Liaising with suppliers and internal departments regarding account queries
General finance administration duties as required

About You

Previous experience within an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant, Purchase Ledger Clerk, or similar role
Good understanding of purchase ledger and invoicing processes
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to work
Eager to learn, develop new skills, and progress within a finance career
