We are working with an organisation in Rugby that is seeking an experienced Finance Assistant for an urgent 6-week interim assignment.

This is an ideal opportunity for an immediately available finance professional with hands-on experience using IRIS PS Financials, who can hit the ground running with minimal or no training.

The successful candidate will provide essential support to the finance team during a particularly busy period, taking ownership of routine transactional tasks and helping to ensure the wider team can focus on key priorities.

The Role

Working as part of a busy finance function, you will provide hands on support across a range of day to day finance administration and transactional duties.

Your responsibilities will include:

Processing purchase orders and invoices.

Inputting invoices accurately into the finance system.

Following up outstanding invoices and resolving queries.

Investigating and resolving invoice issues where required.

Supporting pay administration via apps, including setting up new accounts and configuring options.

Providing general transactional finance support to the wider team.

Helping to maintain smooth and efficient finance processes during a period of increased workload.

About You

You will ideally have:

Previous experience in a Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant or similar transactional finance role.

Good understanding of purchase orders, invoices and general finance processes.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

The ability to work independently and manage routine tasks efficiently.

A proactive and flexible approach.

The ability to quickly adapt to new environments and systems.

Excellent communication skills.

As the role involves working with vulnerable individuals, appropriate safeguarding and DBS checks will be required.
