Job description

A national and well-established solicitors firm is seeking a motivated Accounts Administrator & Cashier to join its Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional and organised individual looking to develop valuable experience within a supportive and collaborative environment. The role would suit someone with previous finance, accounts, or administration experience, as well as a strong junior candidate looking to gain practical experience within a professional finance environment. Full training will be provided while gaining exposure to a broad range of client account, cashiering, and financial administration duties.

As an Accounts Administrator & Cashier, you will support the day-to-day running of client accounts, with a particular focus on payments, reconciliations, compliance, and general finance administration. You will be responsible for checking completion statements, posting bills, posting monies received from clients, completing bank reconciliations, transferring monies between accounts, checking ledger statements, and completing compliance, money laundering, and fraud checks. As the role involves regular communication with solicitors and internal departments, you will need to be confident, professional, and well organised, with excellent communication skills and a strong attention to detail.

Ideally you will:

Have previous experience within finance, accounts, administration, or a similar environment, although a strong junior candidate looking to gain finance experience will also be considered.
Be highly numerate and accurate, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate financial records and processes.
Demonstrate strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage your own workload, work well under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
Have excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with solicitors, internal departments, and colleagues across the business.

In return, you will benefit from:

Joining a well-established national solicitors firm with a strong reputation and working as part of a professional Finance team.
Working within a supportive finance team where you will receive full training, guidance, and the opportunity to develop your skills.
Gaining valuable practical experience across client accounts, cashiering, bank reconciliations, payments, compliance checks, and wider financial processes.
A permanent, full-time position offering hybrid flexibility to give a great work-life balance.

If you are a professional, highly numerate, and organised individual looking to develop valuable experience within a professional Finance team, we would love to hear from you.
