Role overview

Part-time receptionist 25hrs/wk Spring Gardens Group Medical Practice is seeking a professional, friendly and highly organised Receptionist to join our busy and patient-focused team. As the first point of contact for patients, visitors and healthcare professionals, you will play a vital role in creating a positive experience for everyone who contacts or visits the practice.

You will work closely with GPs, nurses, clinical pharmacists and the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure patients receive the right care at the right time. A commitment to confidentiality, professionalism and delivering high-quality patient care is essential.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a busy setting and wants to make a real difference to the health and wellbeing of our local community. Working as part of a supportive reception and administration team, you will be responsible for managing telephone and face-to-face enquiries, booking appointments, processing requests, maintaining accurate patient records and providing excellent customer service.

The role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to remain calm and compassionate in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Welcoming patients and visitors to the practice.

Handling incoming telephone calls and online enquiries. Booking, amending and cancelling appointments.

Signposting patients to the most appropriate service or clinician. Processing prescription requests and administrative tasks as required.
