Receptionist

The Receptionist will be responsible for providing clinic administration and reception support to patients attending Outpatient Clinics; this will include receiving and greeting patients into clinic areas whilst recording the patient's attendance and clinical outcome on the PARIS system. The Receptionist will also be responsible for providing an appointment booking service to enable patients to book future appointments when leaving the department.

Providing a confidential, efficient patient-friendly and outside agency contact service. Integral to the role with be the maintaining of the clinic administration functions on PARIS patient record system.

The post holder will be interactive with the General Public, Nursing, Medical staff and other Trust Administrative and Clerical Staff. The post holder will ensure all reception processes are carried out in a timely and accurate manner to ensure an efficient Reception and quality service to all users.

All agents participate in cover service for other reception areas on a rotational basis and adopt a flexible approach to working.
