Role overview
Key responsibilities include reception duties, preparing and organising patient documentation, supporting patient flow, updating information on EPIC, and liaising with internal departments to ensure timely communication. The role requires excellent communication, customer service, organisational and IT skills, along with the ability to prioritise a varied workload.
Previous experience in hospital or medical administration is desirable, though full training will be provided. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and caring individual to join a dynamic, supportive team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality maternity services.
Main source of administrative support for the ward team. Admit patients onto the units / ward using patient administration system Greet visitor's face-to face and respond to requests for basic information.
Accurately and promptly carry out the delegated tasks as directed by the ward team who is professionally accountable for the delivery of care. View patients on admissions window in Epic and mark as admitted.
Arrange/request/book outpatient appointments. Arrange ambulance transport for patients being discharged or routinely transferred to another hospital.
Maintain a safe environment ensuring the clinical area is clean and tidy. Receive new patients, direct visitors, and provide information to and from medical staff, and patients, daily Be a point of communication for all staff Answer telephone and action messages Maintain standards identified within the ward/clinical area.
