Role overview
At GMMH we are investing significantly into our Community Mental Health provision. We are currently looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Community Mental Health reception team.
Applicants should be excellent communicators with good telephone skills and have the ability to deal with the general public on a daily basis and have a positive approach to customer care. The role will involve providing reception support to the clinical team within the Community Mental Health Teams.
In addition it is a necessity that applicants have a good standard of IT skills and be able to work on their own initiative and as part of a team. Please note, this post is not eligible for sponsorship As a receptionist with the Community Mental Health Teams, you will be expected to provide a welcoming and professional first impression for our patients and Healthcare Professionals on arrival at the reception desk, whether this be front facing or via telephone, to ensure they receive an excellent customer service experience.
You will be the first point of contact for anyone accessing the department therefore you must be able to deal professionally with a range of enquiries, in person, by phone or by email in an efficient, polite and courteous manner. The post holder will be responsible for providing clinic administration and reception support for the Bolton Community Mental Health Team.
This will include receiving and greeting service users and their carers into clinic areas whilst recording the service users attendance and clinical outcome on the Electronic Patient Record (EPR), along with other administrative duties commensurate to the grade. The post holder will be interactive with the general public, nursing, medical staff, professionals and other Trust administrative and clerical staff and will ensure all reception processes are carried out in a timely and accurate manner to ensure an efficient reception and quality service to all users.
The reception services opening hours are at present 09:00am to 17:00pm, Monday to Friday. A flexible approach to working is essential.

In order to meet the needs of the Trust services you may be required, from time to time, to work outside of your normal area of work to cover absence/sickness. The Trust reserves the right to changes your normal area of work to any other location within the Bolton Trust services.
