Customer Service Advisor - Temp Contract

Location: Northampton Salary: 27,830 per annum ( 14.27 per hour) Contract: Temporary - 3 months Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am-5.30pm (37.5 hours per week) Working Arrangement: Hybrid - office-based Wednesdays and Thursdays, with the remaining days worked remotely Start Date: ASAP

About the Role

CCA Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Customer Service Advisor to join a well-established organisation on a temporary 3-month contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong customer service and administration skills who enjoys building positive customer relationships and ensuring enquiries are handled efficiently and professionally.

You will act as a first point of contact for customers, processing orders, responding to enquiries, updating internal systems and ensuring a consistently high standard of service. You will also work closely with other departments to resolve queries and deliver an excellent customer experience.

Key Responsibilities as a Customer Service Advisor:

Handle incoming telephone and written enquiries, providing a professional and customer-focused service.
Process customer orders and update internal systems accurately and efficiently.
Manage customer queries and complaints, liaising with relevant departments to ensure timely resolution.
Make outbound calls to provide updates and communicate important information to customers.
Maintain accurate customer records and produce routine reports when required.
Contact customers regarding invoices and outstanding payments where necessary.
Identify and escalate service issues, risks and opportunities for improvement.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet service targets and maintain high standards of customer care.
Follow company procedures, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection requirements.

About You:

Minimum of 12 months experience in a call centre-based, customer service advisor role handling telephone and written enquiries.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
A strong customer-focused approach and a professional manner.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when updating systems and processing information.
Good IT skills, with confidence using various computer systems and software.
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and the confidence to take ownership of enquiries.
The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
A flexible approach and a willingness to learn.

What's on Offer?

Salary of 27,830 per annum ( 14.27 per hour).
A 3-month temporary assignment (training on the job).
Monday to Friday working hours, 9am-5.30pm.
Hybrid working, with two days per week in the office (Wednesday and Thursday).
An ASAP start.
