Are you an experienced Credit Controller who enjoys working in a busy, fast-paced environment?

Your new company

We are currently recruiting for an established business based in Trafford Park who are looking to strengthen their Credit Control team. This is a great opportunity for someone with proven credit control experience who is confident managing their own ledger, chasing outstanding debt and working towards collection targets.

Your new role

As a Credit Controller, you will take responsibility for your own portfolio of customers, proactively managing outstanding balances and ensuring payments are received within agreed timescales.

Your responsibilities will include:

Managing a busy portfolio of customer accounts
Proactively chasing outstanding debt by telephone and email
Working towards cash collection and debt reduction targets
Identifying problematic or high-risk accounts and escalating where appropriate
Allocating cash accurately against customer accounts
Investigating and resolving account queries and payment discrepancies
Working closely with internal teams to resolve aged debt
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date customer account information
Building professional relationships with customers whilst maintaining a firm approach to collections

What you'll need to succeed

We are particularly interested in speaking with experienced Credit Controllers who are comfortable working within a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

You will ideally have:

Previous experience within a dedicated Credit Control position
Strong debt-chasing and cash collection experience
The confidence to manage a busy ledger and prioritise workloads
Experience working towards collection targets and reducing aged debt
Excellent telephone and written communication skills
A proactive and resilient approach
Strong attention to detail and good Excel skills
The ability to work effectively with both customers and internal stakeholders
