Sales Administrator

Location: Corby, Northamptonshire Pay Rate: £13.00 per hour Job Type: Full-time, Temp-to-Perm

About the Role

Interaction Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Sales Administrator to join a busy manufacturing business based in Corby. This is a full-time, temp-to-perm opportunity for an organised and proactive individual with strong administration skills and a customer-focused approach.

Working closely with the sales and production teams, you will help ensure customer orders are processed accurately, production requirements are communicated effectively, and customers receive a professional and reliable service.

This role would suit someone who enjoys a varied administrative position, is confident using IT systems and can manage competing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Process customer sales orders and update internal systems accurately.
Assist with entering orders using the company's product configuration system.
Prepare production paperwork, labels and order packs.
Check orders against quotations and previous orders to ensure accuracy.
Answer incoming calls and respond to customer enquiries by phone and email.
Liaise with production teams regarding lead times and order progress.
Keep customers informed of production updates and delivery expectations.
Support the preparation of quotations, customer tenders and business reports.
Provide general administrative support to the wider team when required.
Maintain a tidy, professional working environment and follow company procedures.

About You

We are looking for someone who is reliable, organised and keen to learn, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

You will ideally have:

Previous experience in sales administration, order processing or a similar administrative role.
Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
Good IT skills, including confidence using Microsoft Office.
Excellent communication skills and a professional telephone manner.
A customer-focused approach with the ability to handle enquiries efficiently.
The ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines in a busy environment.
A proactive attitude, with good problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.

Experience within a manufacturing or production environment would be advantageous. Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quotations or costings would also be beneficial, although a willingness to learn is essential.

Full-time hours - Monday to Friday.
