Job description

My well established, dynamic Client is urgently looking for an organised, commercially minded E-Commerce and Merchandising Executive to improve the quality, accuracy and performance of their extensive ecommerce product catalogue.

Managing over 13,000 online SKUs across seven main product categories, alongside more than 20,000 offline products, the chosen Candidate will play a key role in improving product data, online merchandising, customer experience and catalogue management processes.

Working closely with Product Management, Pricing, Development, Content, Marketing and Analytics teams, you will lead agreed projects, improve workflows and use data to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

Maintain accurate, complete and consistent product information across our ecommerce catalogue.
Improve product categorisation, search, filters and online product presentation.
Manage product launches, supplier changes, discontinuations and approved pricing updates.
Use analytics and customer insights to improve product discovery and purchasing journeys.
Plan and deliver projects, maintaining a prioritised Jira backlog and coordinating stakeholders.
Establish quality checks for product updates, imports and website releases.
Improve efficiency through Excel, PIM tools, automation and AI.
Monitor catalogue performance and recommend improvements based on data and commercial objectives.

Essential experience:

Experience managing and improving a large ecommerce product catalogue.
Practical knowledge of PIM and ecommerce platforms, product feeds and bulk data updates.
Strong Excel skills, including lookups, PivotTables and Power Query.
Experience delivering cross-functional projects and improving processes.
Ability to use analytics to improve product merchandising and customer experience.
Excellent organisation, attention to detail and communication skills.

Systems and technology

The key platforms include Sales Layer, Feed Optimise, PriceShape, Microsoft Excel, Jira, Adobe Commerce, Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity. Experience with equivalent systems is welcome.

What success looks like

In your first six months, you will establish a catalogue quality baseline, resolve priority data issues, improve processes and deliver a practical roadmap for ongoing improvements.

Performance will be measured through catalogue accuracy and completeness, update turnaround times, delivery reliability and shared commercial measures such as conversion and average order value.

The opportunity

This is a hands-on role offering the opportunity to take ownership of projects, introduce new technologies and make a measurable difference to our ecommerce operations. You will work collaboratively across the business, reporting initially to the Director of Digital & Technology.

Please send an up to date CV for an immediate response and more information on a fantastic opportunity with a truly great Client.
