Your new company

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Purchase Ledger Assistant to join a successful global business. This is a great opportunity to become part of a small, friendly and welcoming finance team, offering a supportive working environment alongside the stability of an established international organisation. The role offers hybrid working, with three days in the office and two days working from home, and hours of 9.00am-5.30pm, Monday to Friday.

Your new role

Reporting into the Purchase Ledger Supervisor, you will take responsibility for a busy purchase ledger and support the team with a high volume of invoice processing and supplier payments.Your duties will include:-

Processing purchase ledger and overhead invoices
Matching and processing purchase order invoices
Preparing and processing supplier BACS payments
Processing same-day supplier payments in various foreign currencies
Completing supplier statement reconciliations
Investigating and resolving invoice and payment queries
Liaising directly with suppliers and clients by telephone and email
Working closely with internal sales and administration teams
Processing duty, tax and carriage invoices
Completing associated Excel spreadsheet work
Supporting with high-volume transactional finance processing

What you'll need to succeed

You will ideally have at least two years' previous Purchase Ledger experience, preferably gained within a larger or global business environment.You will be confident managing a busy workload and comfortable working within a fast-paced, transactional finance environment. Strong communication skills are important, as you will regularly liaise with both internal teams and external suppliers.

Calm and organised when working under pressure
A genuine team player who enjoys being part of a small, collaborative team
Experienced across purchase ledger, with exposure to sales ledger being advantageous
