Credit Controller (12-Month Fixed Term Contract)Location: Wythenshawe, Manchester Salary: Up to 32,000 per annum Contract: 12-Month Fixed Term Contract Start Date: Immediate Start Available

The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Credit Controller to join a well-established business based in Wythenshawe on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and driven individual who enjoys building relationships, reducing aged debt, and playing a key role in maintaining healthy cash flow across the business.

Working as part of a supportive finance team, you will take ownership of customer accounts, ensuring payments are received on time while delivering excellent customer service and resolving any outstanding queries efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Proactively manage and maintain a portfolio of customer accounts.
Chasing overdue payments via telephone, email, and written correspondence.
Reducing aged debt and improving cash collection performance.
Allocating incoming payments and reconciling customer accounts.
Investigating and resolving invoice and payment queries.
Building strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
Producing aged debt reports and providing updates to management.
Negotiating and monitoring payment arrangements where required.
Escalating high-risk accounts and supporting debt recovery processes.
Assisting with month-end reporting and other finance-related duties.

About You

Previous experience within a Credit Control or Accounts Receivable role.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Proven ability to manage a high-volume ledger and meet collection targets.
Experience of account reconciliations and cash allocations.
Ability to build effective relationships with customers and colleagues.
Good attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and finance systems.
A positive, proactive, and professional approach.
