Business Development Executive £40,000 £45,000 Basic DOE + OTE + Car Allowance or Company Car Worcester Office & Field Based 70% Office / 30% Travel

A growing specialist manufacturing business is looking for an ambitious and driven Business Development Executive to join its expanding Commercial team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, spotting opportunities and winning new business while developing their career within a specialist and technically interesting industry.

You'll be joining a successful business where you'll have genuine exposure to customers, markets and commercial opportunities, with plenty of scope to develop your skills and progress your career.

Working alongside the Business Development Manager, you'll help identify new opportunities, nurture existing relationships and turn conversations and enquiries into successful sales.

What you'll be doing

Identify and develop new business opportunities across target markets.
Build strong, long-term relationships with both new and existing customers.
Follow up enquiries and quotations to maximise sales opportunities.
Manage leads, customer information and sales activity through the CRM.
Make customer calls, attend meetings and carry out occasional site visits.
Support marketing campaigns, promotions and lead-generation activity.
Represent the business at exhibitions, trade shows and networking events.
Keep up to date with market trends, customer needs and competitor activity.
Prepare sales reports and contribute to business development plans.
Work closely with Sales, Marketing and Operations to deliver results.

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who is commercially minded, confident and hungry to succeed. You don't need to know everything on day one enthusiasm, relationship-building skills and a genuine desire to develop are key.

You'll ideally bring:

Previous experience in sales, customer service, account management or business development.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
A proactive, positive and resilient approach.
Strong organisation skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
Confidence using Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
An interest in manufacturing, engineering, height safety or lifting equipment would be advantageous.
A full UK driving licence.
A-Level, NVQ Level 3, Apprenticeship or equivalent qualification would be beneficial.
Any experience or personal interest in height safety or lifting equipment would be a bonus.
Additional language skills would be advantageous.
