Job description

This Accounts Assistant role in Salford is all about ensuring smooth and accurate processing of incoming payments. You'll play a key part in keeping the finance team running efficiently by managing payment allocations and resolving discrepancies.

A well established business with key finance offices based in Manchester.

Description

Accurately allocate incoming payments to customer accounts.
Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies in a timely manner.
Maintain up-to-date and accurate financial records.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth financial operations.
Assist with reconciling accounts and preparing reports.
Respond to customer and internal queries regarding payments.
Support the wider accounting and finance team as needed.
Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.

Profile

A successful Accounts Assistant should have:

Strong numerical and analytical skills.
Good communication skills for liaising with internal teams and customers.
Proficiency in using financial software and systems.
