Location: High Shropshire Office Based

Our client is experiencing a sustained period of sales growth, with their international and export business playing an increasingly important role in that success. As they continue to grow, they are looking for an enthusiastic, highly organised Sales Support Executive - International to join their close-knit Customer Support Team.

As Sales Support Executive, you ll play a key role in supporting the Sales Team and Sales Director, helping to keep international orders moving smoothly from initial enquiry through to delivery. Export documentation and freight forwarding experience is desirable, but not essential. We would be delighted to hear from exceptional candidates who have the right attitude, aptitude and customer-focused approach, even if they don't have direct experience in these areas. Full training and support can be provided to the right person.

Responsibilities

Supporting the Sales Team with day-to-day administrative and operational activities.
Processing international/export orders from receipt through to shipment and delivery.
Preparing and maintaining export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin and shipping instructions.
Working closely with production, warehouse, logistics providers and freight forwarders to ensure orders are delivered on time.
Monitoring order progress and proactively keeping customers and internal teams updated.
Responding to customer queries regarding products, pricing, orders, shipping schedules and documentation.
Managing multiple email inboxes and ensuring customer enquiries are followed through to resolution.
Maintaining accurate customer, sales and export information within ERP/CRM systems.
Assisting with quotations, sales reports, forecasts and performance reporting.
Working with Finance on payment terms and export documentation requirements.
Supporting compliance with international trade regulations, export controls and customs requirements.
Resolving customer, shipment and documentation issues quickly and effectively.
Supporting the Sales Team with presentations, contracts and tender documentation.
Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement across export processes and customer service.

What We're Looking For

Ideally, you'll have experience within export sales support, international customer service, freight forwarding or export operations, together with knowledge of areas such as Incoterms, export documentation and customs procedures. However, we're not necessarily looking for someone who can tick every box.

If you have strong administration and organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, first-class customer service skills and the ability to learn quickly, we would love to hear from you even if export or freight forwarding is new to you.

We're looking for someone who can demonstrate:

Strong written and verbal communication skills.
A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
A proactive, problem-solving approach.
Strong customer service skills and a genuine desire to help customers.
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
Experience with ERP/CRM systems would be advantageous.
A willingness to learn, develop and take on new responsibilities.
