Accounts Assistant (Part-Time)

•£28,000 - £32,000 Pro Rata (Dependent on Experience)
A well-established logistics business based in Team Valley is looking to recruit an experienced Accounts Assistant to join its friendly finance team on a part-time basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in transactional finance who enjoys working in a varied role across both purchase and sales ledger activities. The successful candidate will be a confident communicator, highly organised, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities
•Processing high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
•Resolving supplier invoice queries with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers
•Performing supplier statement reconciliations
•Assisting with supplier payment runs
•Processing and reconciling company credit card transactions
•Raising sales invoices (approximately 80-100 invoices per week)
•Supporting credit control activities, including chasing overdue customer accounts
•Assisting the Accounts Manager with month-end processes
•Providing general finance and administration support as required
•Undertaking ad hoc duties to support the wider business
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
•Previous experience within an Accounts Assistant, Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger or similar finance role
•Knowledge of Sage 50 Accounts (essential)
•Experience with Boxtop software (advantageous but not essential)
•Strong attention to detail and accuracy
•Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
•The ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
•A proactive and positive approach to work
•Confidence working both independently and as part of a team
