Finance Administrator - Sales Ledger
Deddington, Oxfordshire Hybrid
£27,000 + up to 10% Annual Bonus
Permanent Full-Time 37.5 hours per week

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Finance Administrator to join a successful, employee-owned business based on the outskirts of Banbury, Oxfordshire (5 miles from Banbury/accessible by public transport).

This is a varied position with a strong focus on sales ledger and would suit someone in the early stages of their finance career who has gained around 1-2 years' experience and is now looking for their next step.

You'll be joining a friendly and supportive finance team within an established business that genuinely values its people. There will be plenty of opportunity to build on your existing finance experience, take on more responsibility and develop your career over time.

The Role

Working as part of the finance team, your responsibilities will include:

Raising sales invoices
Maintaining and reconciling the Sales Ledger
Receipting and reconciling client purchase orders
Monitoring un-invoiced balances, debtors and landed margin
Proactive credit control and chasing overdue payments
Preparing and issuing client statements
Managing client rebates
Producing Sales Ledger reports for management
Managing the finance inbox and responding to queries
Providing Purchase Ledger cover when required
Credit card administration and reconciliations
Supporting PO approvals and wider finance administration
Looking for opportunities to improve processes and make better use of technology and AI

About You

We're looking for someone with:

Around 1-2 years' experience within finance/accounts, potentially gained after university, college or leaving school
Some previous exposure to sales ledger, accounts receivable, invoicing or credit control
Good attention to detail and organisational skills
A proactive, positive and reliable approach
A professional approach, with good communication skills and confidence dealing with customers
Comfortable using Excel and finance systems
An interest in using technology to improve processes and ways of working
Sage experience would be advantageous, but isn't essential

This would suit someone who has gained a good foundation in finance and is keen to learn, develop and take the next step in their career.
