Job description
Are you an experienced Finance Assistant searching for a new opportunity? We are looking for a Part Time Finance Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis. This role offers a great chance to be involved in essential financial processes, supporting the wider business with purchase ledger tasks, reconciliation, and basic account management. You'll be working closely with the finance team, ensuring smooth and accurate handling of transactions, all while maintaining a welcoming and professional approach. The position is office-based in Bath, perfect for someone looking to balance work and personal commitments, with a flexible, part-time schedule.
DAY TO DAY:
Accounts payable, processing supplier invoices, using ApprovalMax, ensuring all invoices are allocated correctly, preparing invoices for approval
Maintain the Accounts payable ledger and payment runs
Reconcile supplier statements and resolving discrepancies, supplier onboarding and data capture
Accounts receivable to include checking of rents, service charges, credit control, chasing payments, providing reports to Financial Controller
Maintaining the ledger, allocating receipts, updating tenant accounts,
Daily bank reconciliations, posting receipts and journals as needed, credit card reconciliations, tenant deposits,
Providing reports to the team for service charge budgets using Xero, liaising with wider team re all finance queries,
Assisting in the preparation of month-end, assisting with preparation of year-end
Maintain an organised digital filing system, support FC with any other duties, support wider team when required
WE WOULD LOVE TO SEE:
Previous experience as a Finance or Accounts Assistant, ideally in property or similar sector
Knowledge of purchase ledger processes and financial reconciliations
Confidence using accounting software, with experience in Xero being highly desirable
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
