Job description

Finance Assistant - 1 Year FTC

Chessington, Surrey

Must be available for an immediate start

We're recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join a busy finance team on a 1 year maternity cover, based in Chessington with hybrid working (3 days in the office).

You'll work closely with the Finance Manager, keeping month-end running smoothly and pitching in across the wider business along the way. This would suit an accounting graduate with some experience or an Accounts Administrator seeking a new challenge.

What you'll be doing

Daily accounting tasks, including sales and purchase ledger
Liaising with the Finance Manager to keep month-end tasks on track
Collating supplier payments and processing them into HSBC for authorisation
Keeping bank payments and receipts up to date
Reconciling bank statements, including month-end
Assisting the Finance Manager with month-end close - posting journals and preparing reconciliations
Supporting other team members to help meet accuracy and reporting deadlines

What we're looking for

Previous experience in accounts/finane
Good IT skills and confidence picking up new systems
A team player with excellent attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication
Solid all-round accounts knowledge
Knowledge of Sage 50
Preferred: experience working in an international environment or with multiple currencies
Preferred: AAT or equivalent

What's in it for you
