Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR Coordinator to join a globally recognised Museum based in the heart of London. This is a varied generalist role, providing high-quality HR support across the employee lifecycle while working closely with managers and colleagues to deliver an effective and responsive People service.

Key Responsibilities

Provide first-line HR advice and guidance to managers and employees on policies, procedures and employment matters.
Coordinate recruitment and onboarding activities, ensuring a positive candidate experience from offer through to induction.
Prepare contracts, offer letters and employment-related documentation.
Process employee lifecycle changes, maintaining accurate HR records and systems.
Support payroll administration, ensuring contractual and employee changes are communicated accurately and on time.
Assist with employee relations casework, including probation reviews, absence management, disciplinary and grievance processes.
Coordinate family leave processes, including maternity, paternity, adoption and shared parental leave.
Manage occupational health referrals and support workplace adjustments where required.
Produce HR reports and monitor key dates including contract end dates, DBS renewals and right-to-work documentation.
Contribute to HR projects, process improvements and wider People initiatives.

Ideal Candidate Profile

CIPD Level 5 qualification (or working towards) is desirable
Previous experience in a HR Coordinator, HR Advisor or similar generalist HR role
Experience supporting a wide range of HR activities across the employee lifecycle
Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures and employment legislation
Experience providing advice and guidance to managers and employees
High attention to detail and experience maintaining accurate HR records and systems
Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR information systems
