Purchase Ledger Clerk (Temporary)
Location: Alton, Hampshire Salary: £14.00 - £15.00 per hour Contract: Temporary (Immediate Start Available) Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
The Opportunity
An established and growing business based in Alton is seeking an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their finance team on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and can hit the ground running.
Key Responsibilities
Processing high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
Matching, batching and coding invoices
Reconciling supplier statements and resolving queries
Managing supplier payments and payment runs
Liaising with suppliers and internal departments to resolve discrepancies
Maintaining accurate supplier records
Assisting with month-end processes as required
Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc duties
Candidate Requirements
Previous experience within a Purchase Ledger or Accounts Payable position
Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
Confident working with finance systems and Microsoft Excel
Excellent communication skills
Ability to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines
Available to start at short notice
