Job description

Location: Uxbridge

Job Type: Part time (4 days per week) or full time (5 days)

Pay: £16.69 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)

Key Responsibilities

Provide one-to-one and group learning support to learners aged 16-19.

Support learners who may have experienced disengagement from education and help them re-engage positively.

Assist tutors in the delivery of classroom activities and learning programmes.

Encourage participation, attendance, and positive behaviour within the learning environment.

Build positive and professional relationships with learners, acting as a mentor and role model.

Support learners to develop confidence, resilience, communication, and employability skills.

Support learners with social, emotional, and wellbeing needs where appropriate.

Work collaboratively with tutors, support staff, and external agencies to ensure learners receive the support they need

The ideal candidate will:

Have experience supporting young people, preferably aged 16-19.

Be passionate about helping learners overcome barriers and achieve positive outcomes.

Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Be patient, empathetic, and resilient.

Have experience in an education, training, mentoring, youth work, or support setting.

Understand safeguarding responsibilities and the needs of vulnerable young people.
