HR Shared Services Administrator

FTC - 12 months (Mat cover)

About the Role

Our client is seeking an organised and proactive HR Shared Services Administrator to join a busy and collaborative HR team based in London. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys delivering a high-quality service to employees and managers across the business.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting HR operations, ensuring HR processes are delivered efficiently, accurately, and in line with company policies and employment legislation.

Key Responsibilities

Support the continuous improvement of HR processes and procedures.
Manage administration throughout the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, contractual changes, and offboarding.
Act as the first point of contact for employee HR queries, providing professional and timely support.
Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
Produce regular HR reports and management information using HR systems and Microsoft Excel.
Coordinate and support new starter inductions and onboarding activities.
Monitor probationary periods and liaise with managers regarding reviews and outcomes.
Provide first-line guidance on HR policies, procedures, and employment-related matters.
Ensure all HR processes comply with GDPR and data protection requirements.
Support the wider HR team with projects and operational activities as required.

Skills and Experience

Previous experience within an HR Administration, HR Shared Services, or HR Support role.
CIPD qualification or working towards CIPD accreditation is desirable.
Experience using HR systems such as SAP, SuccessFactors, or similar platforms would be advantageous.
Strong administrative and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable working with data and reporting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Good understanding of employment legislation and HR best practice.
Able to work independently while contributing effectively to a team environment.
Positive attitude with a continuous improvement mindset.
Experience of working within FMCG would be ideal
