Job description

A well-established and growing Independent Financial Advice firm in Hitchin is looking to recruit an experienced Financial Administrator to join its friendly and professional team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive individual looking to build a long-term career within financial planning, working closely with experienced Financial Advisers and supporting the delivery of a high-quality service to clients.

The Role

You will provide day-to-day administrative support across the financial planning process, ensuring client requirements are handled efficiently, accurately and professionally.

Key responsibilities include:

Processing new business applications across pensions, investments and protection
Supporting Financial Advisers with ongoing client administration
Preparing client documentation, review packs and meeting paperwork
Liaising with clients, providers and third parties
Obtaining policy information and chasing outstanding requirements
Maintaining accurate client records and internal systems
Monitoring business pipelines and ensuring tasks are progressed within deadlines
Supporting the wider team with general financial planning administration
Working within FCA and internal compliance requirements

About You

The ideal candidate will have previous experience within IFA, Wealth Management or Financial Planning administration.

You will be:

Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
Confident communicating with clients and providers
Able to manage a busy workload and prioritise effectively
Professional, personable and client-focused
Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
Keen to develop your knowledge and career within financial planning
