Job description

Are you organised, confident, creative and looking to build a career in marketing and account management?

BMC Recruitment Group are currently recruiting for a Junior Account Manager to join their marketing team in Teesside.

You'll start with a smaller, manageable portfolio, giving you the opportunity to build strong client relationships, understand their businesses and develop your account management skills. As your experience and confidence grow, so will the size and responsibility of your portfolio.

You won't be expected to personally create every piece of marketing. Your role is to understand what your clients need, help shape their marketing activity and coordinate delivery through the right specialist teams across Social, Content, Creative and Paid Media.

You'll have the support and guidance of an experienced marketing team around you while taking genuine ownership of your accounts from day one.

They are not expecting you to arrive as a fully developed Account Manager. They are looking for someone with the foundations and attitude to become one!

Their office has a real buzz, with a modern, energetic culture where collaboration and creativity thrive. They believe the best ideas come from working closely together, sharing knowledge, and celebrating success as a team, therefore this is an office-based role, not hybrid or homeworking.

What's on offer:

25 Days holiday plus Bank Holidays.
Competitive salary package.
A supportive and collaborative working environment
Ongoing training and development opportunities
The chance to work on a variety of exciting projects and campaigns
Career progression within a growing business
Modern office environment with a great team culture

Responsibilities/Requirements:

Assist with the planning and delivery of marketing campaigns
Understanding each client's business, objectives, customers and marketing priorities.
Helping plan marketing activity and maintaining clear marketing calendars for your accounts.
Coordinating marketing delivery through our Social, Content, Creative and Paid Media teams.
Creating clear briefs so our specialist teams understand what needs to be produced and why.
Managing client requests, feedback and approvals.
Keeping campaigns and projects on track and ensuring agreed deadlines are met.
Regularly communicating with clients about their marketing activity and upcoming opportunities.
Monitoring campaign performance and preparing clear reports and updates for clients.
Conducting market, customer and competitor research to help inform marketing decisions.
Identifying opportunities where we could improve, expand or add value to a client's marketing.
Developing your understanding of marketing strategy, performance and commercial account management as you progress.

About You

You'll ideally have:

A genuine interest in marketing, brands and business.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
Confidence building relationships and communicating with clients.
The ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines.
A proactive attitude and willingness to take ownership.
Creativity and a willingness to contribute ideas.
An interest in understanding why marketing performs, not simply what looks good.
A marketing qualification, degree or relevant experience would be advantageous but isn't essential.

If you're looking for a role where you can learn, develop, and genuinely enjoy going to work each day, I'd love to hear from you. Email me or apply online today!
