Job description

As an Accounts Receivable Assistant in Darlington within the industrial and manufacturing sector, you'll play a key role in managing customer accounts and ensuring prompt payment processing. This temporary position is perfect for someone who enjoys working with numbers and helping the team maintain smooth financial operations.

Description

Process and monitor incoming payments to ensure accurate recording in the system.
Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Generate and distribute invoices to customers in a timely manner.
Follow up with customers regarding overdue payments and payment plans.
Maintain accurate records of accounts receivable transactions.
Assist in preparing financial reports related to receivables.
Work closely with other departments to address billing queries.
Support the accounting team with ad hoc tasks as needed.

Profile

A successful Accounts Receivable Assistant should have:

Previous experience in accounts receivable or a similar role.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Good communication skills to liaise with customers and internal teams.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and resolving discrepancies.

Job Offer

Hourly rate between £12.00 to £14.00, dependent on the level of experience.
Temporary position offering valuable experience in the industrial and manufacturing sector.
