Job description
The Opportunity
We are partnering with a well-established organisation to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join their busy and supportive finance team.
This role is offering a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working autonomously, taking ownership of their workload, and contributing to a high-performing finance function.
You will support the Financial Controller and wider team in delivering accurate and timely financial operations across multiple entities.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-end payroll processing within a manufacturing environment
Preparation and submission of VAT returns
Managing petty cash
Project invoicing, including reverse charge VAT
Processing bank payments and completing reconciliations
Supporting Purchase Ledger as required
Producing financial reports and assisting with management reporting
Supporting tax compliance, including overseas turnover reporting
Managing multi-currency transactions across international entities
About You
Previous experience in a similar Accounts Assistant role
Strong knowledge of payroll, VAT, and bank reconciliations
Experience handling multi-currency transactions
Confident working independently and managing your own workload
Strong Excel skills (particularly within manual VAT/tax processes)
Experience with Sage 50 (desirable)
AAT qualified or studying (advantageous)
