Job description

We are recruiting an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk for a part-time temporary assignment in Reading. This hybrid role offers £15-£16 per hour for 15 hours each week, spread flexibly across at least three days, and is expected to run until April 2027.

The opportunity

You will join a busy finance function and help keep a high-volume accounts payable operation running accurately across several legal entities, multiple currencies and two finance systems.

What you will be doing

Process supplier invoices and check them against purchase orders.

Reconcile supplier accounts and intercompany balances, resolving differences promptly.

Maintain accurate supplier records across the finance systems.

Prepare authorised payment runs and review postings after payment.

Support month-end activity, including accruals and account reconciliations.

Help colleagues resolve system issues and improve day-to-day AP processes.

About you

You will have solid hands-on accounts payable experience and be comfortable managing a busy workload with minimal training. Strong attention to detail, good Excel skills and confidence using finance systems are essential, together with an organised and collaborative approach.
