Part-Time Payroll Administrator

Knutsford £30,000-£35,000 FTE Approx. 3 days per week

I'm recruiting on behalf of a growing business based in Knutsford that is looking for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join its team on a part-time basis.

The position is offered on a permanent basis. The role is expected to be around 3 days per week, with flexibility around working hours.

Reporting to the Head of Payroll/HR, you will take responsibility for the accurate and timely processing of both weekly and monthly payrolls.

Key Responsibilities

Processing weekly and monthly payrolls accurately and within agreed deadlines
Updating the payroll database and time management system with starter and leaver information
Processing Tax, NI, SSP and SMP payments and deductions
Maintaining accurate and confidential employee personnel and payroll records
Responding to payroll, pay and attendance queries from colleagues
Ensuring payroll information is accurate, up to date and compliant
Supporting the wider Payroll/HR function as required

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

A minimum of 2 years' payroll experience
Strong practical payroll knowledge
Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
Strong Microsoft Excel skills - essential
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
The confidence to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels
The ability to work independently, prioritise your workload and meet deadlines
Experience of Sage 50 would be beneficia

The Package

Salary: £30,000-£35,000 FTE, depending on experience

Hours: Approximately 3 days per week, with flexibility around working hours

Location: Knutsford, Cheshire

Parking: Free on-site parking
