Paralegal - Legal Transactions Team
Location: North London Salary: Competitive + Benefits Working Pattern: Full-time, Hybrid
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Paralegal with a background in private practice and/ in-house commercial property environments to join a highly regarded Legal Transactions team.
This role offers exposure to a broad range of property matters within a fast-paced and collaborative legal function, making it ideal for a commercially minded property paralegal looking to take the next step in their career.
The Role
You will manage a varied caseload of property transactions from instruction through to completion, working closely with internal stakeholders, external solicitors, leaseholders, local authorities and other third parties.
Key responsibilities will include:
•Managing a portfolio of non-contentious property matters from inception through to completion
•Drafting and negotiating lease extensions, new leases, transfers, easements, licences and other property-related documentation
•Handling Land Registry applications, title investigations, adverse possession matters and unregistered land issues
•Reviewing and interpreting leases, deeds, title documents and complex ownership structures
•Undertaking legal due diligence on acquisitions and property transactions
•Assisting with property-related projects and legal research
•Responding to legal queries from internal stakeholders and providing practical commercial advice
•Supporting the continuous improvement of processes and procedures within the Legal Transactions team
•Assisting with the supervision and development of junior team members where appropriate
About You
To be successful, you will have:
•A Law degree or equivalent legal qualification
•Previous experience within commercial property gained in private practice and or an in-house legal team
•Strong understanding of conveyancing procedures and property law principles
•Experience drafting a range of property documents and legal correspondence
•Excellent title review and due diligence skills
•Experience dealing with Land Registry matters and property transactions from start to finish
•Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•A proactive and commercially focused mindset
